Jinnah
Sindh Medical University, once known as Sindh Medical College, began on April
7, 1973[2] after the endorsement of a panel established by the Government of Sindh.
Roughly 200 understudies were conceded to their first year of an MBBS in 1973.
Khawaja Moin Ahmed was delegated as the main head of the school. The school at
first started working in the pediatric ward of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical
Center, which had been the military encampment beginning around 1865 and was
given to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in 1959. It began with just
three divisions: life systems (counting histology), physiology, and natural
chemistry. In later years, another scholarly square was developed for branches
of pathology, pharmacology, measurable medication, and local area medication.
It additionally has new galleries, labs, and organization blocks.

college is completely certified by the Higher Education Commission and the
University Grants Commission (Pakistan). The University is likewise connected
with other clinical establishments like the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center,
the National Institute of Child Health, and the National Institute of
Cardiovascular Diseases.
